Ronald Sancetta MD., WCC., is the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Physician Wound Associates, a Florida based company. Dr. Ronald Sancetta is board certified in specialized wound care training, and has twenty six years of experience in many well respected and diverse specialties.

Dr. Ronald Sancetta was born in New York, where he attended Fordham Prep. He later went on to graduate Magna Cum-Laude from Fordham University in New York with a B.S. in Biology in 1977. He attended the prestigious Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and graduated in 1981 as the youngest of 205 students, earning his Medical Degree at the age of 23.

Dr. Sancetta entered residency and trained in obstetrics and gynecology with a sub-specialty in surgery at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, completing the program in 1985. He has maintained his board certifications since 1987, and started his solo practice in 1989. Dr. Sancetta is a Diplomat for the National Board of Medical Examiners, and is a member of the Baptist Hospital and Jackson South Surgical Review Committee, and Infection Control Committee.

Dr. Sancetta has many other interests outside of the medical field. He is interested in politics, and has written for the Examiner.com on many occasions to generate funds for various charitable organizations. He has trained numerous physicians, lectures nationally, and he is also involved with teaching medical students from Ross Medical School, and the University of Miami School of Medicine.

Dr. Sancetta’s vision is to offer a comprehensive bedside approach to wound care and wound management in the skilled nursing facility and long term care environments throughout the United States.
